How to connect my on premises data gateway in personal mode
Hello everyone, I am new to Power BI and trying to connect my on premises data gateway in personal mode with my dataset. My data is saved on a mariadb data base. I am following this tutorial: Power BI Data Gateway in Personal Mode: Installation and Usage Tips Until 5:27 I could follow all steps By 6:20 the screen of the tutorial and mine is different: My screen: Does anyone has an idea what I have to do? Hello! I'm trying to bring customer data from Onpremises to Fabric. Customer already installed the data gateway onprem and everything looks good. But when I Try to access the "Manage connections and gateways" from the "Resources and extensions" blade, it didn't appear (Im using a different email domain if compare to the customer email domain). i want to access this: but this is my screen: my project is blocked, Im seeking help from partner voice and fabric community!! Any insights or feedback will be appreciated.
Can't refresh reports. On-Premise Gateway / DNS Problem?
Hello, I have a problem with data refresh through an On-Premise Gateway. Both planned and manual refresh are causing issues. All reports are affected. It usually takes too long to refresh (over 10 min.) and then this error code is shown. There were times when I could refresh my reports manually today, but the issue kept showing later again. I tested reports with data from different SQ servers. Then I created a new gateway on my pc and turned off the gateway we have in our virtual power bi server. The issue remained. I started to track the data traffic and apparently the gateway is sending data to these Microsoft domains: g0-prod-fra21-001-sb.servicebus.windows.net g1 g2 ... g15-prod-fra21-001-sb.servicebus.windows.net Some of these domains return a local IP address, tested with different public DNS. Currently, g8 is returning 10.218.0.23, g9 returns 10.218.0.24, g15 returns 10.218.0.30. Others seem to have a public IP, like g0 with 51.116.232.39 for example, and the traffic goes through. I'm assuming this might be the reason sometimes the refresh works and sometimes it doesn't. Is someone else having a similar problem?

Hello, at the company where I work, we are facing the following issue: The gateway is online and seems to be functioning, but when we try to make the connection, it says "The gateway or data sources are not accessible." I can open Power BI Desktop and update normally, but this issue occurs in the Power BI service. What can I do?
Data source unreachable
I have created a PBI report in the desktop version using excel files from OneDrive and dataset from Azure. In the desktop version all works well, but when I publish it I get an error. The "File" hyperlink just sends me back to the main page. And according to my IT team, there's no Gateway for Azure report. I have tried to publish a report with just excel files from OD or just some tables and measures from Azure - it works. But when I publish the combination of these two, the visuals don't work. I have checked other threads here but nothing seems to help. .Report Server Licence in a Production environment
Hey, I'm currently new to the BI community and am working on implementing a PBI report server solution for an organization. My question is pertaining to licences. We will be installing PBI RS to a VM in Production environment, since that's where the DB access is. However, we (obviously) do not have the permission to open Internet accesses in this environment due to security and practical reasons, which might make it difficult for me to log in to my MS ID. My question is: is it possible for me to install PBI RS on my physical machine (to log in) and open a gateway which allows me to work on the VM so that I can access the data?Gateway Error
Hi All, I have a report with source as SQL. I have deployed that report in the service. To schedule the refresh for that report, it is required to install and configure Gateway. So, i tried to install the Personal Gateway first, it got installed, but unable to configure it with my account. Similalry i have tried Standard gateway also, (uninstalled the personal and installed the Standard) even then getting the same issue. Below is the error screenshot of it. The above mentioned is everything performed in one of our Servers. The same process i have done in my base machine, and it is working fine. Only issue is in the Server. Please help or provide any solution for this. Thanks, Sudharshan.
