Visualisation (Slicer and Button Slicer)
Hi everyone, I hope you all have a nice day. I want to ask (pictures attached), I gave an example of me using visualisation of "Button Slicer (Top)" and "Slicer (Bottom)" in the picture, I have a table where I have Reporting Date column then I make custom column for the quarters and months. The "Year" in the slicer is from Reporting Date hieararchy (Year), but the quarter and month in the slicer, they both are custom column that I made from the Reporting Date column (so they are not the hieararchy of "Reporting Date"). My questions (I don't mind if you answer with "Slicer" visualisation or "Button Slicer" visualisation): In Picture 1, If I select Q1 and it turns grey, how do the visualisation slicer for months turns black (for Jan, Feb, Mar) without me selecting the Quarter slicer? In Picture 2, If I select any month (for example: Aug) and it turns black, how do the visualisation slicer for quarter turns grey (Q2) without me selecting the Quarter slicer? In Picture 3, If I select Year "2025" and it turns black, how do the visualisation slicer for quarter and months also turns black without me selecting Quarter and Month slicer? Error with custom visualization
Hello, I have an error when I try to open a report containing a custom visualization. The visualisation comes from AppSource (It is the sankey chart from MS) : Using it on PowerBI Desktop works well, but when I upload this to my inhouse Power BI report server, I'm getting following error : Une erreur inattendue s'est produite Une erreur inattendue s'est produite. Can this Visual be achieved in Power Bi?
I have this report below and I want to reproduce it in Power BI. It displays the name of a rig(item) on the left and there is a visual next to it on the right that displays how many meters that particular Rig drilled within the year. I have the Rig names, the meters they drilled for each day, and the date within the year they drilled. Is it possible to achieve something like the Visual below? And what would be the process to do so?
Free Calendar Visualization with Scrolling Functionality (Calendar Pro Alternative)
I am currently using the BCI calendar. It is depracated but still usable. The visual fits almost all of my needs, including: Shows one month at a time (not an annual view, customizable) Can expand into a rectangular view (a lot fo calendar vizs are sqaure) Allows you to use a measure (count) instead of each individual event Heatmap (I used a date table for the screenshot, which is why they are all the same hue) However, I also need the visual to: Allow you to scroll through multiple months within a date range. For example, if Jan-Mar is selected, showing Jan to start but having the option to scroll to Feb and March without changing the slicer. BCI would only show Jan, which isn't sufficient for my use-case The only other visual that fits all of the above criteria is the Calendar Pro by Okviz. This actually fits my needs better than BCI because of the ability to scroll month-to-month. However, I don't have resources for a license and the free version still asks for one once published. As stated, this visual meets all of my needs but I do not have funding for a license. Is anyone aware of a similar, free alternative?
How to use Video Pro by Cloudscope custom visual?
Hi all, I am trying to make use of "Video Pro by Cloudscope" custom visual. As of my learnings, there are two visuals by cloudscope that lets us embed video 1.Video Pro by Cloudscope - Certified (can't access external links[http:\, https:\].Need to embed video within dataset) 2.Video by Cloudscope- Uncertified ( can access external links [http:\, https:\] I am clear on how "Video by cloudscope" custom visual works. Can anyone help me in understanding the functionality of "Video Pro by Cloudscope". what is the difference between video and video pro? Also, any guidance on how to embed video within dataset . Here I am trying to use excel file for exploring purpose. Not sure on how to embed a video inside excel. I tried to embed using insert-> object method in excel but while importing excel source to Power BI, it gets displayed as null. Any solution to this asap would be much helpfull. Hello everyone, I have a custom visual where user can drag the horizontal line which change the column width. Default value is set to 125. I try to figure out how to ovewrite the default value from property panel like this: I did try to overwite the value this way: this.settings.columnProps.column_one = currentLines[0].getBoundingClientRect().left; ... but it doesn't work. When refresh the report the value back to default. Is there any API or ready solution to do this ? Can I use come kind of local storage ? Thanks for any help!
Triple Combination Chart
I need to create a triple combination chart consisting of clustered and stacked columns, with line charts on top of it. See the picture below for reference. Does anyone know of a custome visual that can accomplish this? Alternatively, is there a way to incorporate R into a visual to accomplish this? I need one clustered column with two stacks and one cluster with 1 stack. I have two lines I need charted as well.
