connection error
7 TopicsCan't get my PBI report server service account to connect to remote server
I built a report in the PBI Desktop RS using a .csv file (UNC file path) with no problems. I can publish it to the PBI server no problem. However, when I publish it to the PBI server and try to put in the service account credentials to use Windows Authentication to connect, it gives me an unable to connect error. See below We have a service account to allow read rights to shared folders on this remote server we have. This same service account is also used for connecting to our MySQL tables. We have no problem using this service account to connect to the MySQL tables and setting a refresh schedule, but it does not seem to work for the shared folder on the remote server. What am I missing? Thanks in advance for any ideas.Solved1.7KViews1like8CommentsAO TENTAR ATUALIZAR OS DADOS ME DÁ ESTE ERRO, NÃO SEI COMO RESOLVER, ME AJUDEM!!!!

Dear, I am making multiple reports in power BI using an Excel in the cloud. However at one point instead of having one connection, it made a connection to the cloud and some sort of gateway, even though I referred to the same excel in the same location. The issue with this is that it caused the option to schedule a refresh to dissappear. What happened and how can I solve it so it works as before. Secondly, I will have to transfer these power BI files and connections to another account, since I referred to the excel using the link to the cloud and the other account has access to the same cloud, will this go smoothly? Thank you! Kind Regards. Screenshots below!545Views0likes1CommentAnalysis services error when viewing report on power bi report server
When trying to view reports uploaded to an instance of Power BI Report Server that previously opened without error in the Sept 2022 release of Power Bi Desktop, receive the following error: We couldn't connect to the Analysis Services server. Make sure you've entered the connection string correctly.: Request ID: 944ea27c-3109-15c3-0d0c-50a1ca6dd1b5 Time: Thu Oct 13 2022 11:01:47 GMT-0600 (Mountain Daylight Time) Service version: /powerbi/libs There is no connection string explicitly called out in the report; we are using Windows credentials. Any ideas what's going on here? Lee1.5KViews0likes2CommentsA connection was successfully established with the server, but then an error occurred during the log

Normal browser access,Browser access address:http://desktop-6hmnoae/reports/ Server address isn't valid A server with the specified hostname could not be found. Verify the address is a SQL Server 2016 Reporting Service address and try again. Why the error says that is tring to connect to SQL Server 2016 Reporting Service? We do not have SQL Server 2016 Reporting Service, only Power BI Report Server (on-premises) Our setup is Windows 10 SQL Server 2019 dev. Power BI Report server (Not SQL Server Reporting Service !) Is Power BI connects only to SQL Server Reporting Service?1.9KViews0likes5Comments
