I've just typed out a fairly lengthy reply post - twice. Both times the page said it had been posted and showed it at the bottom of the page. The second time I even caught a screenshot of this. But now neither post is visible. Maybe it is being moderated or something but I have no message or information about that. It's really frustrating.24KViews0likes18CommentsHow to Ask a Good Question on a Forum
I don't have time right now but this post is to remind to write a post about how to ask a good question on the forum - something along these lines but shorter LINK Happy to do a blog post if that's helpful. I've noticed that the quality of the questions coming across the forum has fallen off recently. People need some tips on how to ask a question in a way that will increase the likelihood that they'll get a good response, quickly. Please like if you think this is something we need.Solved4.9KViews0likes1CommentProblem with editor: Cutting code
If experienced this repeatedly within the last days: When posting an answer with code, the code is being cut. Very annoying. It shows perfectly OK in all modes: Richt text, HTML and preview but once posted it's being cut seeminly randomly: just an example here: http://community.powerbi.com/t5/Desktop/Generate-incremental-number-in-groups/m-p/20020#M6053 This happens with text/code being copied from Excel, Word or PowerBI itself. Any ideas how to avoid that?Solved2.5KViews0likes2CommentsCommunity Admins: Service Bug reporting in the forums?
Sandy, MiguelMartinez - Is there dedicated staff that we should pull into forum posts if there is a Service bug? Apparently users are being directed to submit bugs for the Service via the Community forums. In many cases, we won't be able to troubleshoot or assist end users with environment specific issues or unknown errors. Are there certain staff members that we can pull into the posts that require MS assistance / visibility? My thought is to reference a group of admins to raise visiblity on issues we cannot help with using the "@<name> feature. Without spamming Microsoft admins needlessly. For reference, here are two threads describing what I am referencing: http://community.powerbi.com/t5/Service/Where-do-Bug-Reports-go/m-p/837#M236 http://community.powerbi.com/t5/Service/Internal-error-when-refreshing/m-p/16379#M5176 Any direction would be helpful. When browsing the Best Visual Contest Board every page shows a login prompt to community-stage... Seems the content wrapper contains an image asset that's wrongly linked: http://community-staging.powerbi.com/html/assets/data_stories_blk.png1.2KViews0likes0CommentsCant edit a post
I've been seeing this issue a lot in the last week or so - when I try to edit or create a post I get these white and pale yellow shapes popping up "on top" of the form. The bright yellow button seems to be "Post", so if you click it you get a blank comment which you cant edit. I've seen this on multiple machines at multiple sites, multiple browsers. I think something is broken in the forum app.2.8KViews0likes3CommentsKudos count is showing black on black background
Using Edge or Chrome 46 the place next to the kudo button that shows the kudo count is showing up just as a black box. Only when I move the mouse cursor above it I can see the actual kudo count. Is that intentional? Here's a screenshot where I marked the element in question in red:Solved3KViews0likes3Comments
