Hello Everyone, I have a dashboard where it is live connected to SQL DB, Directquery Mode. I have published this to On-Prem Report Server, The business user needs to have this dashboard refreshing every 1 minute on his screen without any interaction or refreshing from his side, how can I achieve that? Note that: * Automatic page refreshing is not working on the report server * Also I took a shot with the browser extension, but the security team is not approving since it is 3rd party tools. Hello - I'm trying to see if there's a way to automatically pull the list of the last "x" dataset refreshes, without checking it for each dataset through the PBI Dataset settings, like in the screenshot below. I'm wondering if: 1. I can automatically pull this list somehow in a PBI report 2. I can pull this list for more than the last 20 refreshes (which seems to be the only setting) I did a research online and it looks like the options are setting up a Power Automate flow (for dataflows only, not for datasets) or using REST API. Is there any other way that I can do this? Many thanks!422Views0likes1CommentAutoRefresh started to fail
After I added some new folders on my sharepoint folder I'm getting an error "DataSource.Error: Web.Contents could not obtain the content from .... sharepoint.com... It was working fine before and all I really did was add some more folders (The one i use for powerbi is root/files, and the other ones were added on the root folder so I have no idea on why it could have broken it or if its pure coincidence) Now I can't get any data from that sharepoint account500Views0likes0CommentsLink outlook with PowerBI - have 20 individual reports dashboard with rag status and threshold
I need helping linking outlook email with PowerBI and having a dashboard to view over 20 in reports I receive every day via email. I would like to have a dashboard TV and set a threshold and rag status for each report I receive, (up to 4 times a day), finally, I would like to automate replies once the threshold is reached. (with Microsoft flow) I have requested for a demo from PowerBI on multiple occasions, although I have had no reply from them. I've spent countless hours searching the forums for a way to do this and I've given up. Currently, I'm running the latest version of Report Server and I am using it for a Live Dashboard that's displayed on a large monitor in a NOC. I have a background refresh set to every 2 minutes as the information must be updated regularly and quickly. In order to get the visuals to update I'm using a Chrome Auto Refresh plugin but this is messy and doesn't work well for my setup. Also, if I'm interacting with the touchscreen it will refresh the page in the middle of me working. My question is: Is there another way to automatically refresh the visuals without using a Chrome plugin? I know people have been requesting this for a while now. All I want is to somehow automate the act of clicking the refresh button on the dashboard. If there's a simple way to put some javascript into the page I'm down for it. I just don't know where to begin.995Views0likes2CommentsAutorefresh for select queries skipping another
I have a report that has roughly 8 queries in it, i then combine the data into an extremely useful report. However, i would like to use the scheduled refresh on the report server to keep all but one query up to date. However, i cannot as my IT department won't install the connector for one server, so I am unable to save the credentials. Which in turn, does not allow me to schedule a refresh. Does anyone have an idea for a workaround, and or a fix to skip one query in the refresh on the report server refresh? Otherwise, my way of refresh is to edit the file on the power BI server, click refresh, wait for all the data to load, save the file. It is not hard however, i would like to see more up to date information.1.7KViews0likes2CommentsAuto refresh the Power BI report in powered report Server.
