5 TopicsFilter pane in reports display differently after upgrade of Report Server
Hello, I've recently upgraded Report Server from August 2018 to September 2019. I've also upgraded Power BI Desktop optimized for Report Server to September 2019. When I open an existing report in Report Server, the Filters pane for that report gives me the options to perform a basic filter or an advanced filter. However, when I edit the existing report in Power BI Desktop (Sept 2019) and republish the report in Report Server, the Filters pane does not display the basic filter or advanced filter options. Screenshots below. On another note, if I create a new report in Power BI Desktop (Sept 2019) and publish to Report Server, the basic filter and advanced filter options display in the Filters pane. Is there a reason after modifying an existing report and republising it, the filter pane behavior is different? Is there a way to fix this? I can imagine, users will want the ability to change the filter on the page. Moreover, I've also tested publishing an existing and new report created/modified in the August 2018 version of Power BI Desktop to Report Server (Sept 2019). I was expecting an error of some sort since the versions are different. Does the Sept 2019 version of Report Server allow you to publish reports created in previous versions? Hi, As per other threads, we've upgraded to August 2018 and experienced the infinitely spinning Loading icon due to outdated web browser cache. I don't really want to suggest 400+ users clear their cache, is there any way of forcing a cache refresh across our network? Hi, We've just upgraded to the August 2018 version of PowerBI Report Server and Desktop, but the feature "If your visual doesn’t have a title, it will instead float on top of the visual, unless the visual is all the way to the top of the report, in which case it snaps to the bottom of the visual." described here isn't working for PBI reports created previously in the March 2018 version. When I open these reports in the August 2018 version, I'm not able to move the visualisations to the top of the report. For reports created in the August 2018 version, everything is working fine. Do I have to recreate all of my PowerBI reports? Thanks! Screenshot of the problem:Solved1.8KViews0likes1CommentWhy do reports take 20 mins to load after updating to report server August 2018?
Reports unusable since updating to PBIRS August 2018, just loading wheel! To fix I need to go back to March 2018; whats the easiest way of doing it; because March 2018 updated OK, we did not take a snapshot. We have 27 reports in use daily, some are OK (basic, not much data). Why is August 2018 update unusable?Solved1.9KViews0likes2Comments
