How to save snapshots of your data to generate trendlines on PBI Report Server
I would like to ask a question regarding snapshot data for Power BI On Prem. I am having a lot of requirements lately regarding looking back at previously loaded information (to generate trendlines based on quantity deltas) Is there a way to store the result of a SQL query, attach it a timestamp, and generate a table that contains all the snapshots? Thanks!
Append Calculated Tables (Not in Edit Query)
I am working with Data Quality Dashboards. In order to avoid doing my initial selection using Python before uploading the tables into Power BI (can be tricky for my end user when I hand things over), I am trying to do it all inside the tool. Therefore I create various CALCULATETABLE functions to spot the entries that are violating my business rules. Ultimately I want to have one OVERALL VIOLATIONS table. The only function I know to append tables is UNION. However, it does not allow me to append more than two tables at a time. Consequently, I have to merge two at a time until everything becomes one main table. Do you happen to know a more effective way of doing this? Thanks in advance!
