Dear I received mail-notifications of new badges earned on my account (linked to my professional email) and when I click the link to see them, I can view my profile as others would see it: I saw my badges, my posts, ... However, when I log in (with the same account that received the notification), I had to set up a new account (it asked to create a username and in the settings I could see it was newly created). I even tried to log into my personal account (as these are linked for my Microsoft Learn certifications), but then I was also asked to set up a new account. -> How can get into my original account, instead of the duplicates that were created on the same e-mailadres?1.3KViews0likes1CommentGateway Service Account Identity
Hi guys, I would need to know with which user my gateway is now really running? Background: The gateway was setup and configured with my organization account. Now the gateway tells me (and thats what I also understand from documentation) that it is running as NT Service\PBIEgwService. Which Account is now really grabbing the Data from the SQL? My concern is data privacy and therefore we want to change it, if it really is running wiht my organization account. If it is really running under the PBIEgwService Account everythings fine... i guess.... PS: I already tried changing the account to an service account but it keeps telling me that Username or Password is wrong (even tho I tried the account and it works fine in Office365 and Windows) BR PanicSolved1.6KViews0likes2CommentsAdd users in basic authentication
Hello, I installed my evaluate version of Power BI Report Server on a virtual machine, then I log in with admin account and upload reports where I have roles. I need to provide access to users outside my domain, so I want to use basic authentication (it's the best way, isn't it?) defining usernames and passwords. I changed the RSReportServer.config file as explained at https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/reporting-services/security/configure-basic-authentication-on-the-report-server?view=sql-server-2017#main but now I don't know how to create new credentials and the only way I am able to connect is with my admin account. I read many things about security and roles assignment but I have no user to associate to one of my roles. Please help me. Thank you so much1.4KViews0likes0CommentsDomain account rights
We are using the Power BI Report Server on premise. I'm looking for some documentation about which rights the service account (domain user) should have for using constrained delegation. Is it necessary to have set “impersonate a client after authentication”, “log on as a batch job” and “log on as a service”?1.6KViews0likes2CommentsCommunity Account Support

Hi everybody, I am in trouble with reports and accounts in PBIRS. I have a SQL Server database where I use Windows authentication and use it in Direct Query mode to build a PBI report with my business account. Finally I upload it in PBIRS, but if I use another account to log in my PBIRS, I get the following error message: "It has not been possible to connect to Analysis Services server. Verify to have used the right connection string". Why does it happen? I think I should see it whatever account I use, after uploading my report. Maybe it's a matter of accounts used to create it? Thank you very much NickSolved1.1KViews0likes2Comments
