I have a Planning PowerBI dashboard created using desktop version and published to the planning workspace. I have created another dashboard called "Sales" by connecting to the semantic model of the planning database and published to the Sales workspace. While publishing, I get the following messages. "This semantic model contains calculated tables or calculated columns that refer to remote tables, which will result in refresh failure after publication if the dataset is not configured to use an explicit connection with granular access control to access this data source. Are you sure you want to continue publishing?" I say yes and publish to the Sales workspace. The publish confirmation is as below "Your file was published, but disconnected. Sales Dashboard is not connected to one or more data sources. To connect, go to dataset settings or ask the dataset owner." As I am the dataset owner, give me step by step guide to fix this as this is the first instance I am getting this type of error I am completely new to this gateway concept. I browsed a lot and still unable to fix it. Should somebody help, it would be great.1.4KViews0likes5CommentsHow to Create Paginated Reports in Power BI Service
How to Create Paginated Reports in Power BI Service If you're looking to create detailed, structured, and print-ready reports like invoices, financial statements, or any other reports that require precise formatting, Power BI Service has a solution for you! The good news is you don’t need to install Report Builder — everything can be done directly on the web using the Power BI semantic model. Here’s a step-by-step guide to creating a paginated report in Power BI Service: 1️⃣ Open Power BI Service Log in to your Power BI Service account. 2️⃣ Select the Dataset Navigate to the workspace where your dataset is published. Choose the semantic model or dataset you want to work with. 3️⃣ Create the Paginated Report Click the ellipsis (three dots) next to your dataset and choose "Create Paginated Report" from the dropdown. 4️⃣ Set Up the Report Workspace A new workspace will open where you can design your paginated report, with access to all the tables and fields from your dataset. 5️⃣ Select Columns for Your Report Choose the columns you need for your report and either drag them into the report workspace or check the box next to their name. 6️⃣ Arrange the Columns Organize your selected columns to create a clean, well-structured report. Customize the layout according to your needs. 7️⃣ Insert Additional Elements Add images, textboxes, headers, and footers from the "Insert" section to enhance the look and feel of your report. 8️⃣ Create the Report Once the columns and elements are arranged, preview your paginated report to ensure everything is in place. 9️⃣ Save and Share the Report Save your report in Power BI Service, then share it with others or export it for printing. For further customization, click "Download Report" to open it in Power BI Report Builder for additional edits, such as adding filters, parameters, or charts. By following these steps, you can easily create highly detailed, printable, and shareable paginated reports right in Power BI Service. 📖 Read the full guide here https://www.rayminds.com/post/how-to-create-paginated-reports-in-power-bi-serviceSolved6.7KViews2likes2CommentsEmbed report to azure app

Hello everyone It is extremely necessary to finalize the ReportServer with new functionality. We use the Power BI report server in our work and there are very few functions that all users need. The developers of Power BI RS kindly ask you to add them to the releases if possible: 1) subscription functionality (currently works only for reports built in Report Builder - we don't use it. It is extremely necessary to do for .pbix reports. This function is very necessary - as it is constantly required to export the report to PDF and print. Now there is no such functionality at all) 2) make a full-screen report rotation button - now half of the screen is occupied by panels at the top and pages at the bottom, as a result, 50% of the screen remains on the report itself at best. Yes, you can add rs:embedded to the link, but isn't it easier to make a full screen button??? 3) many-to-many connections - when will you make them? have you been feeding everyone with breakfast since 2020? 4) Call the RS system something else, we are tired of explaining to users that there is a Desktop RS and there is a Desktop and these are different software products. No one understands this. For Power BI users, this is one product, that RS, that Desktop, that service. Not only are they called the same - so they have the same icons and everything looks the same. Why not separate the RS tool and name it differently? to avoid confusion? 5) according to updates 3 times a year, this is very common. In recent updates, we have generally come to the fact that the color and several formulas are changing - and that's all there is in the update.. Sadly. I am in favor of having one annual update, but it included as many features as possible. This update will reveal and it will be easier for system administrators to update programs from users. Questions to Power BI developers - are there plans to do something on these points and if so, when to wait for solutions to the accumulated issues???535Views1like0CommentsScheduled Refresh

Hello everyone, I am facing an issue with connecting to an SAP Business Warehouse Message Server data source on Power BI report server, and I would appreciate some advice from the community on how to resolve it. When I try to connect to the SAP Business Warehouse Message Server data source on Power BI report server, I receive an error message stating that the data source is not supported. However, I am able to connect to the same data source without any issues using the Power BI desktop application. I have tried several troubleshooting steps, including ensuring that the necessary drivers are installed on the report server, but none of these steps have resolved the issue. I suspect that this could be a compatibility issue between SAP Business Warehouse Message Server and Power BI report server. However, I am not sure how to confirm this or what steps I can take to resolve it. Has anyone in the community encountered a similar issue, and if so, what steps did you take to resolve it? I would appreciate any advice or suggestions on how to resolve this issue. Thank you in advance for your help.860Views1like1CommentIssue in export Data
