I am using an ODBC connection and connection to a PostgreSQL dataset. I want to use parameter passing in the query, but I am getting this error: ERROR [42703] ERROR: column "reportparameter1" does not exist;Error while executing the query Here are the screenshots of the steps I have followed. I have taken a small employee dataset to test this. 1) Created 2 datasets in the report builder, one with the actual data and another with distinct employee names. 2) Create the parameter. 3) Add it inside the Parameter section in Dataset1 properties. 4) I run the report, select a filter, and view report, I get this error: Please provide a solution. I am trying to use query parameters in a query to Teradata. When I use the (@ParameterName) syntax, I get a Teradata error saying the number of parameters called does not match the number of parameters defined. My assumption is that the call for parameters in Teradata is the same as Report Builder, so Teradata is getting confused? I also tried the M Query parameter call "&ParameterName" and it actually called the value. But I got an error saying Teradata expected something between a unicode value and the parameter. Is there a way to escape the parameter call? Or there some other syntax I can use?1.5KViews2likes3CommentsHow to replicate Parameters (tableau) in Power BI?

hi All, In a table, I am using a Parameter for switching Row headers. Pulling row headers from Column A when Parameter = Month Pulling row headers from Column B when Parameter = Quarter Now, I also need to do this with a filter applied on that table. So, I would want the filter coming from Column A when Parameter is month and Column B when Parameter is Quarter. Is there a way to set this up? Hello, I'm currently trying to create a Power BI report, where the datasource is a Power BI Dashboard. I want to have a multi-value parameter to filter on a specific field of my report. Here is what I have done: - Created a report level multi-value parameter - Associated the report parameter with a query parameter within my dataset - Declared a parameter within query designed And then I'm using the following code: EVALUATE SUMMARIZECOLUMNS('mytable'[col1], 'mytable'[col2], TREATAS({@parameter},'mytable'[col1]) ) Issue is, when I'm executing the report, the filter only work if I'm putting a single value in the parameter. As soon as I put more than one value, I'm getting an empty report. I have also tried with the following code: FILTER( KEEPFILTERS(VALUES('mytable'[col1])),'mytable'[col1] IN {@parameter})) But I'm getting the same behaviour. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for any help you can provide.Solved5.9KViews0likes2Comments
