Issues Connecting Power BI to Spark (Livy + Kerberos) Behind Knox – Configuration Guidance Needed
Hello everyone, We are trying to connect Power BI Desktop to our internal Spark cluster but consistently run into authentication/connection issues. Before raising an official support ticket, I’d like to ask the community for advice on whether our configuration is correct or if there are common pitfalls we might be missing. Below are the architecture details and the parameters we are using. Architecture Spark Environment: Cloudera Private Cloud (on-premises) Gateway: Apache Knox (single access point) Spark Endpoint: Livy, exposed over HTTPS with Kerberos authentication Full URL: https://loadbalancer-coll.hadoop.xxxxx.it:8443/gateway/kerberos-lb/livy_for_spark3/v1 Authentication: Kerberos (corporate AD realm) and this is the error. Is there something we can do to try to see clearer error messages? any suggestion? thank s in advance MMLive connection to SSAS
I wonder if anyone can point me into a direction we have re-occuring issue with live connection to SSAS model. Our current config is Power Bi Repport Server on Server A Our SSAS model on Server B with RLS intergrated We also create an alias name for web browsers of reprot server (as server had a very techincal name, report users were struggling to remember it) Occasionall users on a random basis have an error When looking for dev tool it is Conceptual Schema This issue do not affect reports in import mode, and it also resolve on it's own after some time and then re-appear and resolve, for different users in different time. So some user might have access while other do not. Many many thanks for any ideas.
