Slicer that excludes current month
I have a slicer currently that is based on client contract end dates. We have contracts that have end dates going all the way into 2050. I want to let my team use this slicer but limit it to only show everything that is prior to the current month. I know I can manually set the slicer to exclude the current month but I don't want to have to update this manually every time we enter a new month. How can I create a slicer that only shows contracts with end dates prior to the current month? ThanksSolved653Views0likes2CommentsPBI Tree Map Color Mapping
I have created a tree map in PBI and the layout looks exactly how I need it to look but the visual colors are not what I need. I need to only use a color scheme consisting of Red, Yellow, Green, and Gray based on the corresponding Health Indictor field which uses the text Red, Yellow, Green, and Gray. To achieve this, I need PBI to base the colors on the details field (Health Indictor). However, it appears that be defualt it is selecting the category field (Client Code). I can't swap the inputs to these fields because it completely changes the layout. Is there anyway to change what field PBI uses for the visual color scheme?Solved1.8KViews0likes2CommentsMulti Month Revenue Spread
Hello, Couple of quick questions. We currently have projects that have revenue recognised on a percent complete basis. This can make forecasting a little tricky because we may have projects that last 6 to 12 months or projects that only last 1 month and I need to account for the revenue spread (Total project Revenue/Project Duration (Days)). So, with that in mind: Question 1: How can I create a date slicer that will capture projects that are active but have revenue spread out over several months? All projects currently have a "Start" and "Finished" Date. The issue I am running into is, if I, for example, have a project that has a Start date of 1/1/2023 and a Finished date of 8/1/2023 and set my slicer to the month of May (5/1/2023-5/31/2023) to look at forecasted revenue during that specific month, this project is filtered out because the Start/End dates falls out of range of the slicer and the revenue is not included even though there should be partial revenue spread out over this timeframe. Question 2: Assuming I open up the date range on the slicer and a project does happen to populate that covers mulitple months, what is the best approach to tie the revenue thats been spread to individual months for visualization? For example, I have a project with revenue that is spread over two months (January which has 31 days and Feb which has 28 days). Total project is worth $10,000 and spread evenly over the number of days in each month so that January has revenue that equals 5,254.24 and Feb has revenue that equals 4,745.76. If I am only looking at January, how do I get the table to only show 5,254.24 utilizating only the project Start and Finished dates? Is there a way to = (Total project Revenue/Project Duration (Days))*number of days that the slicer is covering? Hi, I am looking for a way to extract the latest timestamp from a text column that that contains multiple notes and timestamps. The ultimate goal is to be able to identify which projects have been updated in a specific month based on the most recent timestamp. An example of the column data is presented below: Column Name is Quantity Completed Field History Example Data: 2023-05-24 9:44:50: Mike changed quantity completed from 0 to 2 2023-06-27 5:48:49 Mike changed quantity completed from 2 to 4 2023-07-04 9:22:48 Namoi changed quanitity completed from 4 to 5 I tried creating a column from just the first 20 characters extracted but that only works for projects with a single update. Once they have multiple updates, I'm not sure how to only capture the latest timestamp since it gets added to the end of the existing field and can be different character lengths from the end depending on the persons name that is updating the field. Thanks for the help!Solved667Views0likes1Comment
