Showing the Max of the Sum of a 12x24 Matrix in a Card (With Data and Examples)
Hi everyone, I am trying to make a card that displays the current max of the sums showed in a 12x24 matrix table. I have a 12x24 matrix that is made up of LB Produced by different farms broken down by the hour over the course of 12 months. The production of a farm is the same for every day in any given month. The data table is formated as the following: - Repeating for every HR (24) and Farm Farm HR Month LB Produced A 1 Jan 42 A 1 Feb 41 A 1 Mar 43 A 1 Apr 44 A 1 May 44 A 1 Jun 47 A 1 Jul 48 A 1 Aug 49 A 1 Sep 49 A 1 Oct 44 A 1 Nov 43 A 1 Dec 41 A 2 Jan 41 A 2 Feb 40 A 2 Mar 42 A 2 Apr 43 A 2 May 44 A 2 Jun 46 A 2 Jul 47 A 2 Aug 48 A 2 Sep 48 A 2 Oct 43 A 2 Nov 42 A 2 Dec 40 Currently my card that displays the peak hour of production between June-Sep will show the highest production out of all the individual farms rather than the highest hour of all the farms combine. Example: Farms A&B&C selected: If I wanted to get it to display the highest peak HR between the months of June-Sep of the following matrix the expected result would be a Peak of 241.8 for July hr 16 Farm A&B matrix: Expected result - Peaks at 155.6 for July HR 16 Farm A&C matrix: Expected result - 147.9 August HR 16 Farm A matrix: Expected result - Peaks at 60.8 August HR 18 Farm B Matrix: Expected result - Peaks at 96.4 July HR 16 Matrix C: Expected result - Peaks at 87.6 August HR 16 Any help would be greatly appreciated and thank you for your time!Solved605Views0likes2CommentsGreater than or less than Slicer
Hi everyone, The data I am working with is in the format of "Start Date" and "End Date". Is there any way that I could make it so that I have a slicer ranging from say 2015-2030 and if the slicer is set to 2023 it will show the data of all the projects that will be active that year. Example of Data: Plant Plant Name Product Type Start Date End Date Annual LB Produced 1 A Fruit 1/11/2019 11/1/2036 47563 2 B Meat 1/1/2019 6/1/2023 22128 3 C Fruit 11/1/2023 11/1/2035 97860 4 D Vegies 1/1/2025 12/1/2034 24650 5 E Grain 4/1/2024 1/1/2037 272804 6 F Meat 11/1/2022 6/1/2023 36542 In the case mentioned above where the slicer is set 2023 any data mapped to Plants 1,2,3 and 6 would be visable. Any help would be greatly appreciated and thank you in advance for your time!Solved723Views0likes3CommentsHelp Making a Calculated Table using DAX (Examples and Data provided)
Hi everyone, I'm new to Power BI and I'm trying to create a new table for this project within BI using DAX functions, any help would be greatly appreciated. I've had some success with using crossjoin to create the table template but I'm now stuck with the final calculation. All the excel tables have been pasted below if you'd like to take a look at it. The TLDR is that there are farms that are running from "Start Date" to "End Date", each farm produces a fixed yearly yield of a specific product: Fruit, Vegies, Grain, Meat (Measured in Annual LB Produced). Each farm is individually instructed what % of their yearly LB produced is to be sent to any given state. How can I write a DAX function that will make a table that accumulates all of the produce sent to each state for any given year? Examples and a more in-depth breakdown is provided below. Thank you all for your time, if you have any questions please leave a comment and I'll answer it asap. ===================================================================== The premise of this project is that there is a large grocery store company that owns multiple farming plants that each produce a fix yearly yield of a specific product, measured in LB of Produce. The company has a goal to supply x states with y LB of products by year 2030. Example Inputs Main Parameters: Grocery Store Company Start Year 2019 End Year 2030 Total Produce Needed by State: State LB of Produce Needed AR 167,755.15 CA 623,050.39 MI 312,832.94 NH 44,286.41 OH 672,908.93 TX 656,893.41 VA 422,508.56 The company notates how much of the plants yearly produces goes to a given state by assigning the states column the %. Meaning that if they would like Plant 1 to send 20% of its 47563 Annual LB Produced to California they'd mark CA with 0.20. Which would mean that in the year 2019 CA receives 9251.98 Annual LB of Fruit since the plant starts on the 11th of January but in the following years until the End Date year CA would be receiving 9512 Annual LB of Fruit from Plant 1.
