Re: Connectivity to Google sheets
Google Cloud has BigQuery BI Engine in Beta. Support was announced for Google DataStudio and Looker. PowerBI should leverage BigQuery BI Engine in order to access native, intelligently cached datasets without requiring a data transfer to PowerBI.442Views0likes0CommentsRe: Increase dataset size limit from 250 MB for PowerBI Pro
Our organization collects over a billion events every day, aggregating several into business views in our data warehouse, which is then pushed to PowerBI, which we are trying to use as our primary dashboarding/routine analytics platform. This limit is starting to kill us, as we can only cut certain events by 6 dimensions or so before we hit this limit.580Views0likes0CommentsImprove Quick Insights to work better with Star Schema data warehouses
Currently, when using a data source with a star schema, Quick Insights will bring back a number of insights about dimension tables that are not helpful (E.g. month correlates to year). It would be beneficial to manually or automatically identify these dimension tables and then not generate insights based upon two or more columns in a single dimension table.117Views3likes1CommentUser Can't Be Added to Group
I have added a user to a PowerBI group, and they have signed up to PowerBI through the email invite. Upon logging in, they do not have access to the PowerBI group. If I look in the group administration panel, I can see that the user's status is still showing that the email invite has been sent. If I attempt to remove the user, using the 'x' next to their name, and press save, the user returns once I open the group administration panel again - in the same invite-only state. If I remove the user, and re-add them, PowerBI recognizes them and their account, and the user appears to be added successfully. When I press save, the user still returns once I open the group administration panel again - once again in the invite-only state. In summary: I have invited a user, they have signed up, and yet they cannot access the PowerBI group to which I have added them. I cannot get them to be properly added to the group. If I remove and re-add the user without saving in between, I get the following error: Something went wrong.
