Use Power Automate to extract filtered data to Excel
Hello, I am looking to use Power Automate to allow a user to extract data from a Power BI report to Excel. The data should include any on-screen slicer selections. Due to the data size, I have been looking at doing this through the Power Automate "query a dataset", but I am unable to get the query correct to update dynamically based on filtered selections. I have included a sample screeshot with the page I am looking to extract data from. The slicers pull from the RR table which is related to Table. The columns that will be extracted come from Table. Thanks Amar_Kumar ! I'm not sure i fully understand, I have my Region-SubRegion-Country hierarchy as the Values for my slicer, and the X-axis for my visualization with that measure created and added to the visualization filters. However, when I select anything from the slicer it doesn't alter the behavior at all885Views0likes0CommentsRe: Slicer and Visualization Hierarchy
Thanks lbendlin - maybe I can clarify what I am looking for. I am looking to avoid the need for a user to drilldown at all - for instance in my Region - SubRegion - Country hierarchy slicer, when a user selects something from Region, I want the visualization to automatically update to show SubRegions under that Region. When a user selects a SubRegion in the slicer, i want the visualization to automatically update to show Countries under that SubRegion. And the visualization's default view should show the Region.901Views0likes1CommentRe: Slicer and Visualization Hierarchy
Thanks Amar_Kumar . Unfortunately this isn't quite what I need since I still need the Regional/SubRegional aggregation, where the default view should show each region, and when i select one region it should show the sub-regions for only that region. The countries should only show when one SubRegion is selected.909Views0likes2CommentsSlicer and Visualization Hierarchy
Hi, I have a data set with a Region - SubRegion - Country hierarchy, with a slicer and visualizations using all 3 levels. My standard view shows all by Region with users being able to drill to lower levels of the hierarchy. What I am looking to accomplish is if a user expands the slicer hierarchy to view by level 2 or 3, when they make a selection I want the visualizations to update according to the next hierarchy level. So for instance, if a user expands EMEA in their slicer and selects Europe, the visualizations should show all of the countries within Europe. Is this possible? Thanks!Solved949Views0likes10CommentsUsing slicer to filter out value from categorical visualizations
Hi, I am looking to use a slicer based on a use case name field (i.e. Use Case 1, Use Case 2, ...). When a use case is selected from the slicer, all of the visualizations on the page should update to EXCLUDE that selected use case. The visualizations would be based on categorical features of the use case - so if the Use Case is Lifecycle = Pilot, then I would want the Lifecycle visualization to show all other Pilot use cases by their risk rating. I have included sample data and a sample output - because Use Case 6 is Production it filters the Lifecycle visual to all Production use cases that have a rating and are NOT Use Case 6. Similarly, because Use Case 6 is in the US it filters the Country visual to all US use cases that have a rating and are NOT Use Case 6. Use Case Name Lifecycle Country Rating Use Case 1 Pilot Nepal Low Use Case 2 Production US Medium Use Case 3 Ideation UK High Use Case 4 Pilot US Low Use Case 5 Pilot China Medium Use Case 6 Production US Use Case 7 Pilot UK Use Case 8 Ideation NepalSolved577Views0likes3CommentsRe: Get the latest status for an ID at the end of each period
Hi danextian , Thank you for your help! The reason that D would be Open in the Current Quarter -3 group was that as of June 1, 2023, D has open status, and is not updated to closed until Aug 1, 2023. Current Quarter -3 would end on June 30, 2023, so at that time D was still open. Given this problem, I have decided to push the math to a different solution rather than use Power BI, but thank you again for your reply!461Views0likes0CommentsGet the latest status for an ID at the end of each period
Hi, I am looking to create a new table based on a data table to summarize the data based on the status at the end of each period. The data will need to be summarized at several levels. My data looks like this. Quarter Period refers to the quarter of the ID Created field. I would want to evaluate each ID to determine the Latest Status at the end of each Quarter Period. For example, ID "D" would be counted as Open in the Current Quarter -3 group, and Closed in the Current Quarter -2 group. ID "A" would only be counted as Open in the Current Quarter group (all other statuses within the same quarter would be irrelevant). ID Status ID Created ID Updated Group Country Quarter Period A Open 1/1/2024 1/1/2024 ABC US Current Quarter B Open 2/1/2024 2/1/2024 ABC US Current Quarter A Open 1/1/2024 1/8/2024 ABC US Current Quarter A Closed 1/1/2024 ######## ABC US Current Quarter C Closed 1/1/2023 4/1/2023 DEF England Current Quarter -4 D Open 6/1/2023 6/1/2023 DEF England Current Quarter -3 E Open 10/1/2023 ######## DEF US Current Quarter -1 B Closed 2/1/2024 ######## ABC US Current Quarter D Closed 6/1/2023 8/1/2023 DEF England Current Quarter -3 F Open 8/1/2023 8/1/2023 ABC England Current Quarter -2 Thank you!Solved510Views0likes2Comments
