Re: Dashboard Schedule Refresh no longer working
Just got a call from support with an update - they've been advised that this bug has an ETA of mid-december. Bit disappointing given that it's pretty core functionality but there's nothing that I can see to do. In the mean time the suggested workaround is: Refreshing the broswer. So all in all it's going to be a 5ish month battle to get functionality back that was working fine previously. Not thrilled with that.583Views0likes0CommentsRe: Dashboard Schedule Refresh no longer working
Now I have good news sdjensen Miss lesyk0090 ! I received word today from support that after the escalated the issue at the end of last week it's been determined there is a bug! Go figure. I've been assured that the engineering team is working on it and I'll be given an ETA of the fix as soon as there is one - I'll update this when that occurs.3.7KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Dashboard Schedule Refresh no longer working
Ok so I've opened a ticket and have been speaking with Support about this. Unfortunately I don't actually have good news yet, as they're trying to convince me that either it's the browser not allowing the visuals to update (despite the refresh not working in Edge - I typically use chrome but for testing I loaded it up on Edge), or some combination of "you haven't set it up right". I'm pushing back because clearly this is not a T1 issue, and will keep updating as I go through the rigmarole.3.7KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Dashboard Schedule Refresh no longer working
We seem to be on parallel paths again sdjensen . Last time it seemed to resolve itself after your comment so hopefully that will be the case again - if not we might have to go directly to the support team. I'm surprised more of a fuss hasn't been kicked up to be honest, this seems like core functionality that I would expect would be in lots of businesses so I'm sure it's pretty impactful...4.1KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Dashboard Schedule Refresh no longer working
I'm experiencing the same issue and not receiving any help. Not sure if Microsoft knows what the problem is and is working on fixing it or what. 'Have you waited for 15mins' doesn't fill me with hope that we're going to get an answer here to be honest. Very frustrating.4.1KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Dashboard tiles not refreshing after cache refresh
Hi v-yuta-msft , I have an azure sql db that my report is directquery connected with, and a cache refresh scheduled every 15mins. It typically refreshes the pinned tiles on the dashboard on the same interval, however neither the scheduled cache refresh nor the dashboard refresh is functioning at the moment. Refreshing both pages updates the data in line with what's on the server. I'm not sure a fiddler trace will help as everything is handled between PowerBI Service and Azure SQL?610Views0likes0CommentsDashboard tiles not refreshing after cache refresh
Hi Team, This seems like a recurring problem - I last posted about it early June (https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Service/Dashboard-tiles-not-refreshing-after-scheduled-cache-refresh/m-p/1140276). This is particularly annoying as we have business-critical metrics displayed in the dashboard that are required to be up-to-date. As far as I can tell there is no way for me to be able to check the status of this service? I'm not sure if it's related to the dataflow problem that seems to be present currently but that seems likely. Can anyone tell me what's going on? If this happens every 6-8 weeks then that's probably significant...646Views0likes3CommentsRe: Dashboard tiles not refreshing after scheduled cache refresh
Hi v-diye-msft. I appreciate your response. As I said in my original post manually refreshing the tiles brings them up to date with the last 15minute cache refresh. From the article you linked: "tile refresh happens automatically following a data refresh. This is true for both, scheduled and on-demand refresh operations", however I am not experiencing the tiles refreshing after a scheduled refresh. As my application for this report is passive monitoring, it's important to the function of the dashboard that the tiles refresh after a scheduled cache refresh. Kind regards, Link.2.9KViews0likes2Comments
