Re: Programmatically Create new Report, New Dataset, change Data Source from a template report
Thank you Henrique. But my source us not from on-prem, my source comes from Azure SQL. Each user has a copy of their own table so when a user makes a copy of the report we want to be able to change the source and create a new dataset based on the original model but want to do this via API. We want to avoid touching the pbix. File.2.2KViews0likes0CommentsProgrammatically Create new Report, New Dataset, change Data Source from a template report
I am trying to create reports programmatically. The first step is to clone an existing report that I'll use as a template. This works as expected. Next I need to create a new dataset based on the source report dataset (the Model will be the same). The data source will also get updated, but the schema will be the same., this is where I do not understand how to do it. I see options to update pbix and republish, but I want to remove the manual process. any guidance will be great.2.2KViews0likes3CommentsRe: Azure Stream Realtime to Powerbi - Trading data
Thank you for this info, but let me elaborate to see if I can communicate more clearly. Firstly, the date/time fields are not being utilized filters, it is just a straight-through passing to Power Bi. In our trade data that is being streamed, the date/time fields are coming in epoch format (unix-time), I am applying a cast within the Query to convert to datetime format, but when it comes into powerbi, the millisecond is being dropped it off, as that field is what is used to plot on the line graph. I hope this helps with clarification.608Views0likes0CommentsAzure Stream Realtime to Powerbi - Trading data
I have a trading API i am pulling into Events hubs and using ASA to flatten and push to PowerBi. We have few fields that are Datetime, that go down to Millisecond. But when the data comes into PowerBi I am not able to see it to the Millisecond level, it stops at the second. Has anyone experienced this issue and is there a workaround? Mind you that since this is a Real-Time push, we can not transform data I PowerBi (not allowed).658Views0likes2CommentsRe: New Power BI Embedded pricing model - page render
First of all who ever made the comment "Therefore, it is not productive to get too detailed about what counts as a page render and what doesn’t." Does not understand it from customer perspective. The reason we ask is because we need to know how to build our reports better. Though there is no limits, if we are on A1, and in a given day at our peak time of Noon, we hit the 300 page renders by 1215, then all other renders of the page will become slower, causing an impact to our customers and our brand. So trying to better understand how page rendering works is very valuable as we do our design of application and our reports. So please have the product team improve their answers.
