PowerBI Rest API
OK. I am new at PowerBI Rest API as well as M query language. My boss wants me to use PowerBI API web connection to get all report info for all workgroups. But in order to get report info I need the workspace id. So what I need to do is create a table using some sort of nested loop. Do Get groups using the get-groups api call save the groupid from that call in a parameter parmGroupID get report information from that group by using the get-reports in group api call which has the parameter i just retrieved from the previous call: "https://api.powerbi.com/v1.0/myorg/groups/"&parmGroupID&"/reports" Loop - then go back up and get the next group but I am not sure how to do it. I think parsing JSON may be involved, but I don't know how and I can't find any examples online. Please help. Thanks! Sorry if my pseudocode above is confusing.Solved1.8KViews0likes4CommentsRe: One Slicer, two filters
Thanks for the responses, but since I am using Analysis Services as a data-source, I can't create a measure. It's even grayed out in PBDesktop: I was able to convince the user to accept something different, so I don't need this info any more. But thanks!1.2KViews0likes0CommentsOne Slicer, two filters
We have a user who wants me to create two visualizations. She wants the first visualization to filter data based on a slicer. For example, she wants to show all losses for 2021 by using a slicer bound to the loss year and selecting '2021'. However, she also wants a second visualization to show losses for the year *previous* to the value shown in the slicer in this case '2020'. Also, my data source is an SSAS live connection, because I am having difficulty importing the data SSAS due to memory limitations. Two questions: 1. Am I correct in my understanding that there is no way to do this via a live connection? 2. Is there a way to do it using imported SSAS data? If so, how? (OK, so that's actually three questions)Solved1.3KViews0likes4Comments
