Usage Metrics Not Capturing Views for Reports Linked via Workspace ID and Report ID
Hi , I’ve encountered an issue with the Power BI “View Usage Metrics Report” feature. Using this option, I have created multiple usage log reports to track dashboard views. All dashboards are published in a web portal, but they are connected in two different ways: Some dashboards are linked through direct report links, and Some dashboards are embedded using workspace ID and report ID. The issue is that when users open dashboards linked via direct links, their views are successfully captured in the usage metrics report. However, for dashboards that are accessed through links using workspace ID and report ID, the views are not being captured in the log report. We prefer not to change the existing portal links, so I’m looking for guidance or a workaround to ensure that usage for these dashboards (connected via workspace and report IDs) is also tracked correctly in the usage metrics report.
