Refresh Error in Power BI Service – IDbCommand / ReadChunkWithRetries
Hello everyone, I have several datasets published in the Power BI Service, scheduled to refresh daily at 7:00 AM. Everything was working fine until last Friday, when some refreshes started to fail. Context: Account used: corporate account (Power BI Pro license). Scheduled time: 07:00 (all datasets). The error occurs in different datasets, but each one fails on a different table. If I republish the PBIX file, the refresh works at first. However, when I try to refresh again in the Service, the error returns. Important: in Power BI Desktop, refresh works normally without errors. What I have already checked: Verified that the service account used to connect to the database is properly configured both in Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service. The connection/credentials are fine: in Desktop I can refresh and pull the data normally. In Power BI Online (Service), the tables fail with the refresh error. I tested different queries, including from other databases and other tables, and the same error occurs. Even when trying to refresh manually in the Service, the error still happens. The only workaround so far is: refresh the dataset in Desktop, delete the one with the error in the Service, and publish it again. Data source error: Cannot execute <ReadChunkWithRetries>b__0 after 5 tries. The exception was raised by the IDbCommand interface. Table: ancora_deposito. My question: I would like to understand what could be causing this error in the Power BI Service, since in Desktop the datasets refresh normally. Is there any limitation or specific configuration in the Pro plan (such as concurrency or shared capacity) that could be causing this failure? Thank you in advance for any guidance.Solved2.2KViews0likes9Comments
