Re: Using Microsoft Gantt chart in Power BI. Slicer date to change timeline
Hi Menaka I really appreciate the information, but more than a solution, your response was a guidance. It's importante to differenciate that in this community. There is not a final solution in my case, just an alternative that it doesn´t satisfy the expectations and that alternative was created base in the shared information. From my point of view, it was a help and guidance, more than a solution. That's something to indicate as an option in this community.2.8KViews0likes1CommentRe: Using Microsoft Gantt chart in Power BI. Slicer date to change timeline
Thanks for the response and explanation. This definitely must an improvement for any gantt visual, because it's a shame to be stuck by this limitation. Is there any way to reach my goal with a simple table, where I can see every task with start and end date for the time line? the idea is to see every tasks with different start and end date considering the duration of the task and the total amount of hours3KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Using Microsoft Gantt chart in Power BI. Hi v-menakakota Thanks for your response, the idea is to show the selected timeline from the slicer in the gantt chart. If I select from the slicer a start date and an end date, that range it should update the gantt chart and show the tasks in that range, so yes, the goal is that the gantt chart timeline matches with the slicer range.3.1KViews0likes2CommentsUsing Microsoft Gantt chart in Power BI. Slicer date to change timeline
Using Microsoft Gantt chart in Power BI. `Actividad_Visible` filters tasks based on a slicer (`Calendar[Slicer_Date]`, today to 2030) using `[Start_Date_Selected]` and `[End_Date_Selected]`. Tasks (990 hours, ~6 months) use DAX-calculated `Start_Date_Sequential` and `End_Date_Sequential` (sequenced by `ID_Question` and `Index`). Tasks are sequential, but the timeline ignores the slicer, showing the full task date range. Initially, the timeline matched the slicer. Tried visual filters and clipped dates. Is there a simple Gantt setting or DAX tweak to align the timeline with the slicer range? No complex tables or visuals.Solved3.1KViews0likes10Comments
