Re: Source page keeps getting small changes
Prasanna, I tried the above code you posted just now. It worked but it is telling me I can't do it because it will move cells in a table on your worksheet. I am not sure why it would move cells since I am ignoring columns not deleting. Is there something I can do for this? To explain, I have each teams table beside each other.2.7KViews0likes1CommentRe: Source page keeps getting small changes
I have been out of town all weekend so I didn't get to work on this. I did learn how to get to the M code area. I can take a picture of it but it is a huge field. My question for you Prasanna, where do I add that line? At the very top?2.9KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Source page keeps getting small changes
I will post a picture of the query editor when I can get home tyo my computer. none of this is sensative. Its just sports data that I download and then run some formulas with. I posted a link to one of the pages I am trying to download. I just download the entire table but I actually only need about 10 of the columns. Thanks for all the help3.1KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Source page keeps getting small changes
Thank you for your response. here is a link to one of the pages I am trying to download. Which I can do easily but the owners of the site keep making very small changes, like add a new column or whatever, which makes my query not recognize it so it doesnt run. https://www.baseball-reference.com/teams/tgl.cgi?team=NYY&t=p&year=2025. I didnt know if I could tell it to ignore changes and get the data I am looking for.3.1KViews0likes0CommentsSource page keeps getting small changes
I run power queries every morning where I download a lot of data from a webpage. The source keeps making these small changes, like adding a column to the page I am trying to download. When they do, my query won't run any longer. They did this about 4 weeks ago and I just got all the queries up and running again. Now they have added 1 more column. Is there anything I can do to avoid the total rebuild?Solved3.2KViews0likes16CommentsRe: Power Query/Overwrite cell question
I didn't actualy get the problem solved. I did find an easy workaround. If some of you could actually see what its doing , I expect you could fix it. I am probably not doing a good enough job of describing it. But I am in a good spot with the form now. I appreciate the help. I am actually having a different issue that I may post when I have a chance.6.7KViews0likes1Comment
