Same page URL Navigation feature in Action property
HI Team, It seems like when we set button action property to Web URL navigation, On click event open web URL in new tab. I tried to handle this via HTML Parent page tag as well but still its not working. We should have some property enabled in Action feature for web URL whether destination page should open in New tab or same tab only. Hope Development team should consider this feature. HI Team, Currently in Power BI service , there is no simple way to track how much % dataset refresh is completed if it is triggered from service manually or by any schedule. Sometime due to gateway issue refresh used to get stuck and it keep on refreshing without any progress. This lead to create confusion whether Dataset is going to refresh or not. Same applicable for uploading the pbix in Power BI service from desktop tool as well. Consider a scenario where dataset is too large and without knowing the progress % upload , again it is too confusing whether it is uploading or not. Sometime due to connection error , upload will fail as well. Hence requesting you to enable progress bar mechanism for above 2 scenario. Refresh completion % progress bar. Pbix upload % progress bar. thanks127Views1like1CommentConditional formatting for Bookmark navigation
HI Team, It seems like conditional formatting for Bookmark navigation in Action property is still not available. This will be very useful feature if enable in Power BI. We can achieve dynamic bookmark navigation which can enable lot of possibilities. Thanks157Views3likes1CommentCross Report Sync Slicer
Hi Team, Is there any plan to enable Cross report Sync slicer feature in Power BI service. This feature will open lot of possibilities in Power BI eco system. Some of the use cases are mentioned below, 1. If multiple BI reports are shared by using App and if any one slicer selected then same selection will retain in other BI report as well. This will be a very good experience for end users throughout the app. 2. This should be very good programmatical approach to filter data in other BI report compare to passing filter parameters in URL if destination BI report also part of same App experience. 3. We can enable customized common security layer which will be applicable for all BI reports hosted in same App experience. Conclusion: Sharing BI report via App mechanism is great but cross report sync slicer will make this more effective and seamless exp. for end users. Some workaround but not very effective/limitations 1. Passing parameter by using URL to destination but this require DAX measure to be created very carefully which should concatenate slicer selection in specific format. 2. Drill-through mechanism , but this feature cant solve the purpose of above requirement. 3. Common dataset , but In practical scenario this wont be feasible because of the variety and scale of data we are dealing with. 4. Power Apps write back functionality , but it will be too complex implementation and require specific additional subscription to enable write back functionality for data source. Let me know any easy implementation approach for enable this and or upcoming feature release for the same.287Views22likes1CommentRe: Sync Slicers across reports
It will be a great feature specially for App experience in which if we have similar dimension tables across BI reports and by leveraging this feature we can retain same selection throughout the App. Unfortunately right now its not possible. Below are the use cases which I can think of can be achieved if this feature enabled. Retain slicer selection across App. If any security layer is designed which is similar to entire App then this feature may help us to remove redundant work on all BI reports. Less maintenance also. enable interaction with slicer across BI reports. we know data filtration can be done in multiple BI reports by using URL string parameter feature but that will require Action property from Button and may defeat the purpose of App experience in which BI navigation used to be done by navigation panel. We can enable some terms and condition layer for which slicer selection will be retain across App experience if sync slicer possible across BI reports.358Views0likes0Comments
