average sales
4 TopicsDAX measure for calculating potential revenue
Hi all, I am currently working on a report comparing revenue between the same product but with different sales environments. I want to work out the average revenue lost per item and total average overall revenue lost from the one in the worser performing environment, based on the sales in the better performing environment. I have the total quanity of sales for both categories and total revenue for both. Is there any measures that could help me with this? Thanks!522Views0likes1CommentDAX - calculate the total based on average country value and per year
Hi Guys, For a project, I'm trying to show the total amount of sales. This total is dependent on the selected years (e.g. 2018 and 2019) and is always made for all countries in one box showing 1 total number. I've had some problems with getting the two criteria to work being (i) Year and (ii) Country code. The amount need to be summed based on the years selected and all countries. Sometimes a country code will appear multiple times for 1 year because multiple entities are located in the same country but the sales amount is on country level so appears 3 times when you have for example 3 entities - see BE where you have 3x the country total sale amount. I was tried making an average of the amounts based on country code and then using and SUMX and hasonevalue to get the total amount. But the hasonevalue only takes 1 criteria and does not take into account each year selected but delivers a total for all years - same problem if I reverse it. Does anyone have any idea on how to tackle this? Hello Community, I have below Sales metric data source in one database table: Metric Name City Name Target Actual Time Period New Clients New York 25% 15% Jan-20 New Clients New York 25% 10% Feb-20 New Clients New York 25% 10% Mar-20 New Clients Boston 25% 20% Jan-20 New Clients Boston 25% 30% Feb-20 New Clients Boston 25% 35% Mar-20 Returning Clients New York 40% 55% Jan-20 Returning Clients New York 40% 35% Feb-20 Returning Clients New York 40% 40% Mar-20 Returning Clients Boston 40% 35% Jan-20 Returning Clients Boston 40% 25% Feb-20 Returning Clients Boston 40% 60% Mar-20 I am trying to achieve the below result in Matrix Visual which shows totals for the rows but Average for the Metric Name category: Metric Name Target City Name Jan-20 Feb-20 Mar-20 New Clients 25% New York 15% 10% 10% Boston 20% 30% 35% Average 18% 20% 23% Returning Clients 40% New York 55% 35% 40% Boston 35% 25% 60% Average 45% 30% 50% In matrix visual I find it challenging to have the first two columns and also having average as a sub-total but sum as a total for cities. Any guidance will be appreciated. Thanks, Jay865Views0likes1CommentRankX not correct with measure for average sales
