Is there a fix planned for the issue with filtering with tables connected (having relationship)?
https://community.fabric.microsoft.com/t5/Desktop/Table-filtered-with-data-from-another-table-who-ha...
I have two major issues with the October 2024 update. The first is that I have several large semantic models that will no longer allow me to successfully refresh the data in the model. In each case the data is coming from an Azure SQL database server and the PBIX file has 57 tables. One file is approximately 766 MB another is 939 MB. When I try to refresh the model some tables will get either this error "OLE DB or ODBC error: Exception from HRESULT: 0x800404E. An unexpected exception occurred." or this error "OLE DB or ODBC error: [DataSource.Error] An error happened while reading data from the provider: 'Invalid operation." causing the refresh to fail.
I have uninstalled the October update and reverted back to the September Power BI Desktop version which works normally.
The second issue is that I develop a semantic model, publish to my tenant, and then develop a report that has a direct connection to the published model. I then upload the PBIX file to my clients Microsoft 365 tenant and have this publish to the Power BI service using an upload from SharePoint. I then provide the report to my client who then opens the report file so that they can update the report to connect to the semantic model that was published in their environment.
This no longer works with the October 2024 update. When my client opens the PBIX report file the Power BI desktop application opens a blank window then hangs.
@Anonymous Thanks for nice job!🔥
In the October release the postgresSQL connector is not working.
Please provide an acknowledgement and a ETA on this.
