You can use the SAMEPERIODLASTYEAR function to do it easily and accurately. SAMEPERIODLASTYEAR returns a table of dates shifted one year back in time from the dates in your data, so you can compare the performance of your business or process over time.

 

You can use it with other DAX functions and visuals to create various types of reports and dashboards.
