workspace permission
I’m on Pro-user license , need to share reports/dashboard with colleagues (all free users)
All published content on premium work-space
If I give permission only @ report level not workspace – users cant see ( this was instruction I had from internal IT team !)
My question – do I need to grant all consumers access to the workspace also ?
If yes - which level ? Viewer , Member or contributor
Hi - I've been testing for few days now
I can confirm that I am publishing all reports/dashboards to premium workspace and I'm on Pro-LicenseFor my free users - if I gave permission at report level or dashboard - not working - error read can't load model
if I grant them access to workspace as well - as Viewer - same errorwhen I grant them access to workspace at contributor level - it works
a bit confusing - must admit

Hi neees78 ,
My question – do I need to grant all consumers access to the workspace also ?
Ans:
1. Make sure premium capacity is enabled in the intended workspace. Then try the same thing, i.e., provide access to free users at report level. Also, please instruct free users to check the access in incognito mode.
2. If point 1 doesn't help, then I think "Yes", you have to add them to workspace.
If yes - which level ? Viewer , Member or contributor
Ans: Even Viewer should work.

Hi, neees78
According to my test, you don't need to give permission to the workspace, but only to the report level, however, this is not enough to access, it will prompt the user to have access to the base dataset, in my test, even if I give the user access to the base dataset still can't access, the final solution is to need a Pro or PPU license to see.
