where is my post - 2nd time this has been a problem

hi i got blocked for a few days by my tenant id pswd suddently going stale and thus preventing me from posting here.   I went round and round with MS on this but i think i fixed things myself by resetting the tenant id pswd on the console. 

Nonetheless, as far as i remember, i posted a question just before the pswd went stale and it was titled some thing like "20,000 foot level questions about power bi".   but it seems to have disappeared.  

the most important question was whether or not one needs the service to construct pbi dashboards.  Which i believe is true.  If that's true and our data has to remain on prem, then does it follow we wont be able to build dashboards?   and does it follow that we would have no neeed for the gateway?
