where are the rest api commands being run from?

Hi , this article shows how to run (i suppose) searches of all pbi reports but doesnt say where to run the get commands from nor where to expect the json results.  Can someone shed a bit of light?

hi @db042190 you can either run it in Powershell or you click on the Try It button

Hi,

Please share more details about your requirement.

sure, i'd like to scan all report names , dashboard names and anything else this api can scan on for a specific manufacturer's machine name (Call it CutRight, we use that machine to manufacture in a # of plants).    It looked to me like the regular search functionality in the service was able to even pick up bar chart series names and headings having that value.  I need to use the api (i think) to pick up occurences/hits in ws's i dont have view on.    i dont really want to request access on every ws, ws by ws.  Let me know if this is clear as some parts of pbi are a bit confusing to me.

Hi,

Hi,

That rest API command displays only the report names to which you have access to.

Thanks,
