Hi,
I am building a solution and show data in table visual where views are very dynamic and depends a lot on user's selection.
the problem is that in order to estimate what data to show to user i need to download all data from server, then make estimations and then show in table visual.
Is there some possibility or other solution where I could grab data from server only according users selection? Or maybe I could use some other technology for that?
Hi @froxas ,
Do you mean to configure the data source according to the user's selection? I don't think it is possible and the normal way is to use RLS or filter to limit what users saw in the report.
Please try to check with the below url to pass the data in parameters to filter the data.

venal.
power query is not solution, in my option user needs to choose parameters in power bi online service
I am talking about Power BI Service.
User needs to add inputs like: start date, end date, financer, product etc. But mainly it depends on a start and end date, because according user selected dates it is calculating contract versions, contract status, transactions to show and so one. and now i need to pull all the data, and then according the user selected slicers i need to make recalculate what to show.
