Hi vzbkb1,
Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft fabric community forum.
Please confirm if the file is saved in .xlsx format only older formats like .xls may not work well. Check if the Excel file has any broken links, hidden sheets, or damaged data.Try removing the connection to this file in Power BI Desktop, connect it again freshly, and then publish the report once more.
Also, in Power BI Service, please check the dataset settings and make sure that the SharePoint connection is using “Organizational account”.
