Hi
I am using Fabric Capacity Metrics to analyse Capcity Utilization ( CU%) . The background processes are contributing the most towards the CU utilization. These include dataset refreshes.(I couldn't understand why it shows on demand refresh in tooltip as the redressed are happening via API)
The concern is
Even if there are no background processes happening there is constant CU % (ideally shouldn't take it drop?)

No, CUs are equally consumed by the blue part (background, mashups) and the red part (interactive, direct queries). The interactiv part gets throttled first. Once you get into background throttling territory it gets really bad really fast. Your overage will haunt you for many hours to come. Better have a backup capacity available or you are doomed. (DOOMED, I say!)
