undefined behavior seen after sharing report.

hi Team,

 

We are observing below behaviour while we share a report to multiple users.

 

Workspace Name = “abc Report center”

Here is access Metrics for Report

 

Member

Member on AD group

Member of RLS

DB Access

Mode of Power BI Report Access

Workspace Access

A

Report Shared

N

B

Y

Y

Y

Report Shared

N

C

Y

Y

Y

Running from Workspace

Y

D

Y

N

Y

Running from Workspace

Y

 

Case tested:-

 

Case 1 : D Shared report with A and B,

  • Before A runs report, Report works fine for D, C and B.
  • As A runs report from Power Bi Portal/Sharepoint, Report stop working for D, but at the same time report is working fine for B and C.

Case 2 : C shared report with A and B,

  • Before A runs report, Report works fine for B, C and D.
  • As A runs report from Power Bi Portal/Sharepoint, Report stop working for C , but at the same time report is working fine for D and B.

Any help in this regard will  guide us to proceed further.

    Hi Anonymous ,

     

    Unfortunately, I test that everything is OK. Is your problem always there, or did it run well before and now happens by accident.
