tool tips on dashboards

Hi,

Tool tips is off in the report against the visual, but appears on the dashboard.
This is causing end users some frustration as it obscures data.
Does anyone know if there is a setting to stop tool tips appering on dashboards?

many thanks

H

    Hi hmonty

I'm sorry to hear about your question about the dashboard. I'm testing under this version and I don't see the issues you're experiencing.

    Please try the following:

Check the tooltip settings in the report. Select the visual that you have pinned to the dashboard. In the "Visualizations", click on the "Format visual", select the "Tooltip" section and ensure that it is turned off. Save the report and publish it again to the Power BI Service.

Update the Dashboard Tile. After updating the report, go to the dashboard in Power BI Service, remove the existing tile that was pinned from the report. Pin the visual again to the dashboard from the updated report.

Sometimes, browser caching can cause outdated information to be displayed, try clearing your browser cache and see if the problem persists.

If you are still having trouble, please provide more detailed information.

    Regards,

    Nono Chen

Many thanks for your reply Nono Chen, unfortuenlty this doesn't solve the issue. As stated the tool tip on the visual in the report is off.

Even re-adding the visual to the dashboard doesn't prevent the tool tip appearing.
This happens on a table of data, and the tool tip displayed when hovering over the table is a list of all the columns and data displayed on tht at row within a black box.
