Hello,
My Report published in Power BI service has a data source of Oracle ADB. I have used direct query mode.
When I try to view the report I am getting the error:
there was a data source access error please contact the gateway administrator direct query.
Even refreshes are working fine (As gateway is connected)
Does anyone have any idea why I cant view my report in the Direct Query in Power BI Service?
Hi, @Anonymous
Is this a temporary issue?
You may need to enter the password and username again to reconfigure the gateway.
Best Regards,
Community Support Team _ Eason
No, it is a not temporary issue.
I have tried to reconfigure gateway in Power BI Service with username and password. Still It's not working on direct query.
As I have a power bi pro license I will go for official support from Microsoft.
Yes, I am using the same connection. (Username mentioned for connection and data source for gateway is same).
When i am doing the same with Import Mode i can see the report.
I am not able to understand why it is not working for direct query.
You can raise an issue at https://issues.powerbi.com . If you have a Pro license you can consider raising a Pro ticket at https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/support/pro/
Are you sure you are using the same connection for the Direct Queries and the refreshes?
