Hello community,
We have a power bi report i service . I am wondering how can i turn the connection av? Data source er a table from web! Thank you!
Thanks for lbendlin's concern about this issue.
Hi, @HaiVN
I am glad to help you.
What specific type of data source do you have? As lbendlin says: Web and Web can be different things.
Some data sources may depend on a gateway connection. If the data source needs to be accessed through a gateway, you will not be able to close the connection.
You will also need to check that you have sufficient permissions to change the gateway settings.
You can also check that the gateway is online and functioning properly. If the gateway is offline or has problems, this may affect changes to the settings.
I hope my suggestions give you good ideas, if you have any more questions, please clarify in a follow-up reply.
Best Regards,
Fen Ling,

Hi, @HaiVN
You can check if you have enough permissions to change the gateway settings by following the official documentations:
Manage security roles | Microsoft Learn
View and manage on-premises data gateways - Power Platform | Microsoft Learn
And you can check the status of the netgateway in the following way:
In the Power Platform admin center, look for the status indicator to see if the gateway is online or offline:
On the machine running the gateway, search for "gateway" and open the On-premises data gateway app. Go to the Diagnostics section and run the Network ports test to ensure all required ports are accessible:

Web and Web can be different things. You don't need a gateway if the web data source is directly visible from the Azure Cloud. But an On-Premise Web server source will require a gateway.
