report permissions pbix
I'm having issues sharing pbix reports with MS internal employees, even though I've added their alias to permissions for both the report and the dataset. What could the issue be? Thanks for any assistance.

Could you provide more description about your scenario? How did you share pbix reports? By sharing dashbord or publishing App or adding users to WorkSpace App? Could they receive the shared reports? Did they see any error message when viewing shared reports?
Besides, are those recipients inside or outside your organization? Do they have a Pro license?

I shared the reports via a dashboard. I was not able to share the report individually to anyone, as anyone with whom I shared the report got an error message. It was for that reason I created the dashboard that linked back to the report.

What is the error message? Do those users you shared dashboards with have Pro license? With sharing, whether you share content inside or outside your organization, you and your recipients need a Power BI Pro license or the content needs to be in a Premium capacity.
