report automatic shared power bi service

Hi,

I have uploaded  a revise versjon of a report in power bi service and somehow this revise report is automatic shared with everyone who has the "old" report.
How is this possible?

Anonymous If you published the same report you were asked if you want to replace the existing dataset, in which case you just replaced the existing version of the report in the Service. This doesn't remove any of the sharing that was tied to the report, this is by design so that you can make changes without having to re-share or create new report URL's every time. If you want to "version control" your reports, I would suggest modifying your deployment to use Apps. Share the app, and then when you make updates to the reports, you could have users that have access to the workspace review the changes, then re-publish the app and the changed report would go to the wider audience. Without that App layer in place, all changes you make will be immediate to the report users.
