refreshing data sets and excluding xlsx data from refresh

Hi All,   I have created a report in Desktop and published it to the service. I now want to schedule refresh my data, which consits of five web api call (no issue) and one xlsx saved locally on my ...

    Instead of sourcing from an Excel file use the manual data entry in Power Query. Copy/paste the Excel data into that data entry dialog.

    Thanks for reaching out to us.

    You can use the method lbendlin  said, if your excel file data is relatively large, you can save a copy, then connect Power BI Desktop to that copy, which will not be updated.
