"Update App" Error
Hi,
I'm encountering an error when I try to click on the "Update App" in publishing my work in the Power BI service.
Error shows:
Something went wrong
Failed to publish app.
Please try again later or contact support. If you contact support, please provide these details.

I'm afraid to unpublish other apps because it might mess up my existing dashboards.

Hi Maggie v-juanli-msft,
Here is what I have done:
1. I took an existing Power BI desktop report (Report A) and added a new data source to it.
2. I then saved this file using a new file name. From this file (Report B) I created some graphs using the new data source. I deleted the old data source. I then published the file (Report B) to the Power BI service.
3. In the Power BI Service, I added the graphs used in Report B to the existing dashboard which is also using graphs found in Report A.
4. When I tried to "Update App" I then encountered the error.

I tested with your steps, but i don't meet any error.
Which new data source do you add?

Just one question, is it possible that "Update App" be disabled for a specific user due to access rights?

Only the owner of the APPs can update APP.
If the member of this App workplace is grant only view permission, he can't update App.

I have the same problem and I also tried to add a new app but this gives the same error.
