I got a complaint from a user this week that the "table view" was missing... and I thought I was losing my mind until a redditor pointed me to the "show visuals as a table" preview feature that was added in January 2024. It seems to be gone, and the keyboard shortcut for it isn't working either.
@Microsoft is this coming back? Is there a way to toggle it on and off?
Hi, @lauren_630
Are you referring to the Show as a table feature on the visual object, everything is working fine on my end (May 2024), and I wonder if you could provide more information to help us understand what exactly is going wrong.

Hi @v-yaningy-msft, that was my first thought as well... but no, this was a preview feature mentioned in the January 2024 documentation here. It's no longer available.
Hi, @lauren_630
Disabling “Show as a table” is not supported in the current version. If the feasure is your need, you can submit an idea for here and the product team will take note of such a need.

How to get your questions answered quickly -- How to provide sample data in the Power BI Forum
Hi Yang,
That is not what I am asking for. This link about the Power BI Service updates in January 2024 describes what I'm talking about; there was an option to show ALL of the visuals as tables called "Show Visuals as Tables." That option is gone now; unlike other preview features, I can't find a way to turn it on. Is that functionality going to be available in the service moving forward?
Leveraging our previous accessibility improvements to table and matrix, we are now introducing a new view mode called Show visuals as tables which displays report visuals in a tabular format with a single action. Some users may prefer to consume data in a text-based or tabular format depending on their different learning styles and usage of assistive technologies. This provides a supplemental format for visuals that allows users to display the data in the way that best meets their needs.
This new view mode is similar to how Show as a table displays underlying data for individual visuals today. Show visuals as tables will display the underlying data for visuals for all pages in the current report, with the added functionality of interaction and cross-filtering capabilities.
