Hi. I'm hoping someone can explain to me the difference between "Publish to Web" and Power BI Embedded? If I publish a report to a gated page, how is that different than Power BI Embedded? Thanks.
Jason
Solved! Go to Solution.
Publish to Web - Unsecured, not recommended to be used with any sort of proprietary data. Easy single click to publish content that is ok for the general public.
Power BI Embedded - Is an Azure Service that can only be used in external facing applications. Essentially your application uses it's own security, and leverage Power BI Desktop to embed reports. You are charged based on usage.
The last that you didn't mention, was leveraging the Dev API to embed Power BI reports from the Service into internal Applications.

1. How can I publish the PowerBI report to my own website/web space?
Something like- I do not want it published to Web but published to a secure space.
2. Where do I check about this Azure Service?
Thanks. this is super helpful.
