premium - MAX size for one dataset

Hi

I would like your help, please to validate the size limitation of a premium dataset

I read in some documentation pages that the limitation is :
- From 10 Gb
and other times 12 Gb
Or that it depends on the SKU
... P1: 3 Gb
... P2: 6Gb
... P3: 10 Gb

I imagine this is the size of the model under Vertipaq
Visible in managing  work space storage (service) or in Dax Studio (view metrics  - size sum for all tables) ?

Can you please, specify me the correct limits?
I have to make administration documentation for my company

Best regards et merci

Christophe

Hi @Bamak ,

Try to refer to this.

Manage data storage

1. Shared capacity (Free license)

1-1. Personal storage(my workspace): 10GB

1-2. Dataset: <=1GB

2. Shared capacity (Pro license)

2-1. Personal storage(my workspace): 10GB

2-2. Group storage(app workspace): 10GB

(For app workspaces, the total usage can’t exceed the tenant storage limit of 10 GB multiplied by the number of Pro licenses in the tenant.)

2-3. Dataset: <=1GB

3. Premium capacity (Premium license)

3-1. Personal storage: no per-user storage limit

3-2. Group storage: no per-user storage limit

(There is a limit of 100 TB per Premium capacity.)

3-3. Dataset:

SKU

Size of .pbix

P1/A4

< 3 GB

P2/A5

< 6 GB

P3/A6, P4, P5

up to 10 GB

(The dataset can then be refreshed to up to 12 GB in size.)

What is Power BI Premium?

The goal posts are actually moving on this one. Microsoft have promised since a while to remove the 10GB limit, and to let you stuff datasets into the service that are even large than the SKU's capacity, via some paging magic.  Not sure when that will happen, though.
