power bi slider slicer

I have a visual with a slider slicer for scores between 1 and 99.  It looks fine in desktop. In service, when you try to move the slider, a text balloon "Start Time" appears which covers up the values. The slider is useless if you can't see the values you are trying to select.

How do I turn off that text box?

Hi @RuthC

@Joe_Barry Thank you very much for your prompt reply, please allow me to share some content here.

This problem is by default and has to do with the design of power bi.

If this is affecting you, here's what you can try:

Close the slider button

You can enter the required number in the text box.

This isn't a solution.  This is an issue that needs to be fixed.

Not a solution. Users should be allowed to change those tooltips.

Sorry @RuthC

I thought that would solve the issue. I just tested myself and there isn't any way from what i can see to resolve this. Is removing the slider a possibility? You can still choose start and end dates, but it's not a good UX.

Thank you for your response.

Here is the view from service:

I looked for the tooltip setting, but can't find it for this slicer. On other slicers it is right below header icon (on/off). As shown below, it is not in the same location. Can you point me to it for this slider?

Thank you for your help! I may be using it differently than it was designed for, but it is a nice tool when we are looking at assessment information and want to filter for students with high scores in one area and low in another. We will type in the number rather than slide the bar to get around the problem with the pop up!

Hi @RuthC

I would need to see a screenshot, but i think you may have Tooltips activated? Since you built the report in Desktop, turn off the tooltip there and re-publish
