power bi dashboards

i have an excel file i loaded into power bi. i created 3 columns then i created a visual. the visual is not showing the total number of time in a specific state compared to the origina excel file. would removing nulls and empty be a factor as to why its not showing it? im trying to verify the information from a report to match the numbers in my dashboard i created.
