power bi dashboard management

Hi ,

We are planning to take Power BI for organizational use and we will be using free license. Is there any good practise when it comes to managing the dashboard? In our case, the dashboards will be managed by a support model and so we would like to how we manage the dashboard if someone leaves organization ?  can we streamline the management with a particular service account?

Regards,

Raaju S R

@raasrini1 First, it is most likely already known to you, but the Free version is designed to give you an idea of what the product does. You are severally limiting yourself by trying to implement a company wide solution using Free

The largest hinderances are 1) only 1x a day refresh of data 2) Collaboration via Group Workspaces 3) Restricted Data Sources and no Gateway

That being said, I don't see any reason a shared account (Service Account) that multiple users have access to wouldn't work. As that account would need to be the central location for datasets to be published and dashboards shared.
