I am also facing the exact same problem for my Postgres instance. It was all working last week and over the weekend it stopped, as far as I can tell it might be related to the most recent update to Version 5.0.0.0. I'm not using a gateway but accessing a publically facing Postgres instance.

Failed to update data source credentials: An error happened while reading data from the provider: 'Could not load file or assembly 'System.Runtime.CompilerServices.Unsafe, Version=5.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a' or one of its dependencies. The located assembly's manifest definition does not match the assembly reference. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131040)'

 

I came across the same problem reported a few years ago after the upgrade to Version 4.0.0.0 here:
