paginated report cascading parameter dropdowns trouble

When I select a value or values from a cascading parameter in my paginated report in our service, the selection only "takes" if I click outside the parameter or Tab off of it after making my selection. The selectiong does NOT take if I collapse the dropdown using the downward arrow icon at the right end of the parameter value dropdown.

This is not how the parameter selection happens in Power BI Report Builder, and I've confirmed it in Chrome and Edge browsers. Am I missing a setting somewhere...?

Thanks.

    Hi MarkPalmberg ,

Refer to the detailed instructions given in the official document to check whether there is any negligence in operation.

      Thanks for the reply, Henry.

The issue here appears to exist only in the service and only with the browser report interface. Here are some screen caps that I hope will illuminate the issue better. The parameter pictured below is the first in a series of cascading parameters in my report. If I make a selection here and then click on down arrow (highlighted), the next parameter list *does not* refresh.

If I make this selection and then hit Tab, the refresh occurs. If I make the selection and simply click somewhere outside this parameter list, the refresh occurs. I'm wondering whether it's a feature that "dismissing" the values list as pictured below doesn't actually appear to trigger a refresh.
