oauth2 option not appearing for SharePoint list data

Hi everyone,

I have been trying to scheduele a refresh for my power BI report, the data used is from a SharePoint List so is on the cloud and there is no credentials for the dataset. I am getting an error message that i need to edit the credentials to allow the schedule refresh and have noticed that people within this community and online do this by selecting the "oauth2 option" under the "Authentication Method" but i do not have an option to select ths. A bit confused if their is something i need to correct or maybe an issue with adminastrator?? Please see screenshot below, any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Not necessarily.  Sharepoint can also be on-premise in which case you need Windows Auth, not OATH2.

Your sharepoint site url is missing the "https://". You have specified "http://".

Hi @lbendlin, thanks for the reply

So if i click on Gateway connection it says "you don't need a gateway for this dataset, because all of its data sources are in the cloud" so i believe my sharepoint list is? Would you know if i need to go into my data source permissions and edit them? I've tried doing this and sign into my microsoft account and nothing seems to work. Do you know of any reasons why i wouldn't be able to scheduele a refresh or the steps i need to do to make sure I have set up everything correctly?

Thanks
