migrating contents from dev or test to prod

how to migrate below contents from dev or test to prod environments in same tenant, i am assumming there are sperate workspaces for each environment , example , workspace name for dev is "workspace_dev", simialrly for prod it is "workspace_prod", there is no premium license

 

  • reports
  • dashboards
  • semantic models
  • apps
  • dataflows
  • connections for data sources
  • alerts 
  • subscriptions

can i use same gateway with two different connections for dev and prod or i need 2 different gateways, i am assumming i have 2 environments (dev and prod) for data source such as on premises sql server

  • For you reports and semantic models you can possibly look to work with Power BI Desktop projects, store them in version control somewhere and look to deploy them to the two workspaces.

    The fabric-cicd Python library might work for this but never tried it in a workspace with pro licenses. Let me know if you do try it.
